I've got a laptop now, so I think I might try to head out to the strip here soon.  Maybe tomorrow or the 10th if I can.  :D

Well everything is all in now and I have another thread in General discussing the install.  When I pulled everything apart and saw why I was not able to launch at the track.  To those of you who thought that there was no way my ACT 2600 lbs PP and 6 puck clutch disk was messed up...Well my prior beast with the 2.0 was able to shear any and everything, so the stroker should be even more potent now....

Here are some pics of what my built 2.0, comp cams 101200's, built tranny did to my ACT 2600 lbs PP and 6 puck clutch.

Look at the lack of material

Here I heated off the paint and cracked the Pressure PLate...

I even cracked the Flywheel.  Good thing the center part is replaceable, so I'll buy a new center insert and sell it at a discount.

Now I dont think you can see the cracks very well in the lighting I have in here, but trust me they are there.......  I was simply amazed at what it looked like when pulled it apart.  Thats whyI could launched and it just kept hitting the rev limiter :P

Steve

It came with the car :)  Now this Quartermaster Twin disk is something else.  With 6 pucks I have no problem at all daily driving and doing it smoothly.  This twin disk is a different beast all together....  But give me a few days and I'll have it whipped like every other clutch Ive ever had to tame :)  muahahahahhahahahahaha

Plus you have to remember that that ACT wasn't ever meant to hold the power it was taking.  So considering all that and the fact that it still drove good, I think it did admirable..... :)

That's awesome.  I remember you calling me and telling me that it was too much for your 2600, and I was amazed.

With God's favor, I'm going to try my very best to make it to the track Friday(the 22nd, tomorrow and sunday the track is closed and doesn't open until the 22nd) to see what my setup will do.  I need someone to come with me so they can shoot a video or two, and I'll do the same for them in return if they like.

By the way, I'm thinking about getting those exact Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires.  How are they?  Do they hook good on the street, or just spin?

Well once I get this new stroker tuned I'll let you know.  This whole time my clutch hasnt been good, but it felt like it stuck. But I'll let you know how it does.  Ive been wanting to get some pure radials, but the road racing kind, but I also want some drag radials, but dont want 50 million different sets of tires to change out all the time....  IDK...  But I will let you know how it does, especially with this new twin disk.  This clutch wont let itself slip so it will all go straight to the ground :)  Just gotta break it in.

Nice...  :clap

Did you do many back to back runs with your car? It says right on the website that those alum flywheels retain heat and will warp and cause all kinds of damage if not allowed to cool down between runs. Alum wheels are pretty piss poor idea for a drag car as well. That being said, I run one! I didn't know that they overheated/warped so easily until recently. I do always let the car cool down a good 20 mins between runs though. I hear the signel disc south bed clutches take some crazy abuse too. (see mr peepers thread 135.9 traps, no lite weight either!).
