Using DTCs in Werewolf
« on: January 04, 2012, 11:39:45 PM »
I tried to use the DTCs in werewolf, but they grey out when I try to run them while I have a check engine light.  I already knew what the light was, just was trying to see if the on board DTC worked.  Was also looking into the Alarms section too - high knock count alarm or low oil pressure alarm, high coolant temp alarm, etc.

Also, is there a way to make the log for knock more visible.  In other words, 2 couts of knock the line takes up 1/4 of the logging screen then 5 counts goes to the middle of the logger screen then 7 or more hit the top of the screen so it is easily seen from the driver's seat or black background, or brighter color for that line maybe.  Pink tough to see in daylight.  I want any knock to basically smack me in the face, lol.  Although, I think Hack will smack me in the face after reading this, lol.
FIC-1150s, Walbro 255, EGT gauge, AEM Uego gauge, Evo3-16g not ported, Tial 38mm wastegate O2 housing, Accel 300+ wires, stock ignition, JE 8.5:1 pistons, Ferrea valves 3mm over, titanium retainers, dual springs, stock cams, stock trans, 3" turbo back exhaust (Apexi-no cat), Ostrich w/ 3bar GM map.

I'm not sure if the new versions do this, but I know the old version moved the boost guage whenever knock was detected and that always kind of smacked me in the face lol.

I think mine moved when I hit 10 counts or more, I don't recall.  Whenever my boost gauge moved, I remember seeing hella knock on my logs back when I first started tuning with gasoline.  I'm pretty sure I'm seeing real knock this time other than phantom knock like I was seeing in the past.  I'd also like to log EGT someday with Werewolf which would be kinda cool with peak warning alarm at 1600 or 1650*

Yea, come on over, we'll gamble in Atlantic City.  lol.  Otherwise, there's not much else to do in Jersey.

Did anybody figure out this DTC stuff?  I have a check engine light on now and tried reading the DTC's and when I hit "read DTC's" the button greys out and nothing happens.
