ETS Race FMIC Install
« on: March 06, 2011, 12:06:18 PM »
Hey there guys, I just did another install thread about my Driveshaft Shop aluminum Driveshaft I just installed.  I also added my new ETS Race 10.5" FMIC setup with piping for Speed Density, had a methanol nozzle bung welded in on the TB elbow and my IAT bung welded down low by the IC endtank, along with my new shiny TIAL 50mm BOV and flat black powder coated piping.  It sure is purdy guys.  Its your basic Short Route FMIC install so I wont go into all that.  But I did have issues with the hot side piping not exactly wanting to fit just right.  It happened when I installed my Punishment Racing FMIC as well and I ended up making custom piping on that side.  But I was determined to make it work and I did.  Anyways, this IC flows so much better and doesnt get overwhelmed my my fp3065 at 26 psi and 21 degrees timing up top.  In the next few days I will be adding my AEM methanol kit as well and then retune Werewolf with the meth spraying and then raise the boost to around 35-36 psi hopefully, but we will see.  Here are some pics.

Did you ditch the AC? is that why you don't have the fan on the driverside?

I fear I may run into an issue with my setup.  I too have the Punishment Racing FMIC kit and am thinking it's not going to support my fp3065 at 25lbs...

Clean looking install, I am liking the flat black piping.  Also looking at your engine bay makes me realize I need to get rid of my abs.

Yeah the Punishment FMIC will work somewhat, but your temps will climb about 8-15 degrees depending on the outside conditions....p  Overall its not bad, but it is very undersized for that turbo.  So I decided to make the upgrade to a real quality piece.  It is expensive but worth it to have the temps actually drop at 28 psi :)
