Tps issues
« on: April 11, 2011, 03:01:21 PM »
i have the 90 setup.. i cant get the tps lower than 4% unless I take both mounting bolts completely out.. normally it sits at 5%... with bolts out I can get it to 0...but then WOT is only at 96%... when I adjust it to 100% Wot.. it goes back to 4-5%.. is this normal or is the TPS bad. thanks

I'm pretty sure spec is 9-11%

normally its 8% or so closed.

however, don't go by that.

tap into the green wire with an accurate volt meter(digital) and put the black DVOM terminal to ground.  Key on, throttle closed it should be 0.48-0.52 volts.  If its not, adjust accordingly.

0.48v = ~25dec * 100 / 255 = ~9.8%
0.52v = ~27dec * 100 / 255 = ~10.6%

Logger is more than capable of verifying within spec.  :shifty 8;) :hug

thanks for the info.. I guess I need to re adjust it so it reads 100% instead of having it stop at 96% just to have the low end at 4%. :clap

so I got the tps issue worked out... re routed my vacume lines..gave a dedicated spot to just the map sensor.. boost controller and bov still share the same one tho....

new question..

my boost gauge is showing im running about 24psi... but on my logs its only hitting 12.3 rarely..usually its in the 8psi range.. is something not connected right? map sensor? do I still need to have the stock boost solenoid pluged in..even if theres no vac lines connected to it?

heading to the track on saturday and need to figure this out..thanks.

wrong map sensor selected ? Unless your boost gauge is 12psi off, which i doubt.

Sounds to me like the 2bar is selected /shrug.

If your gauge is mechanical, I'd look into figuring out what setting makes the logger match your gauge the closest.

When using the logger, make sure to load your current tune either from the ostrich, or file, the logger pulls in the sensor settings from that.
