Logger keep locking up?

Seems to have gotten worse recently. Can't even get a full pass in without it locking up. Any tips/tricks I could try? I don't have anything conflicting that I know of. Nothign running int eh back ground. Using windows xp.

5 speed, 6/4 Bolt, 3K on rebuilt motor deck surfaced. Weisco 8.5:1 pistons, eagle rods. OEM crank, factory port 1g head, valve job, head surfaced , new valve stem seals,  3G lifters, BC 272 cams straight up, e316g spearco FMIC. TT supra pump, 1000cc inj, E85, SD Jakal.

Used with what? USB keyspan

I was thinking it may be port settings? It seems odd i can log all day with "normal" driving. As soon as I get into boost at around it locks up. Recently worse than ever. This morning seemed to work fine. Yesterday I couldn't get 1 complete log and tried about 8 times resetting the PC each time.

 Default port settigs.

9600 bps
8 data bits
parity none
stop bits 1
flow control none

Advanced settings FIFO buffers unchecked.

I don't have the source in front of me at the moment.

Is the com port locking up ? Can't re-poll etc ? If the port isn't locking up try to use a different USB port for the time being in case the pins are wearing out on the current one your using.

I only have 2 usb's on this laptop. I have tried switching the two. Same result. Unstable and randomly fails. When it "locks up" it literally locks up the entire program 95% of the time. Jakal no longer responds to any inputs. I have to close it through task manager. Once in a greatt while I can just re-poll it.

Now that is really interesting.

Has this been a normal issue for you, and of late just become a hassle ??

I don't know if it is related or it is just my hardware problem; but I have have it happen a few times when logging and I have stalled the car.  It will throw a a blue screen physical memory dump.
