They do not work. So I would imagine a V3 cable wouldn't work either.

So I bought a link v3 cable for my car.  It connects to the laptop fine, but I cant get it to hook up with Jackal.  Does anyone have any insight on which ins might need swapping, so I can give it a try and then report back my results?  Thanks!

I don't think I even know what the V3 cable looks like.  I think they are pretty secretive about their cable.  Have you checked this site at the bottom?

I can take pictures of it, basically plugs in to the ALDL port, then runs in to a little box then into USB.  I might try and pull the cable apart if I cant figure this out soon.  Id like to log my car haha

Just updating this thread for the sake of information.  I fixed the problem, it was in my car itself, after weeks of testing EVERYTHING including buying another cable. :deadhorse the ecmlink v3 cable WORKS good with the newest version of Jackal.  If anyone has questions or needs help on this subject, feel free to PM or email me.Thanks for the help Hak and everyone else   8)

I believe he had issues with pin2 (Diagnostics/Data transfer select) on the ecu plug being loose.  Glad you got it working Lucas.
