5 post that will take forever to look at software for a friends car, he hasn't made up his mind which way he is going

:shakefist, j/k  :hug, I don't think it is asking too much to have a post minimum ? Thoughts ?

I'd like to know this too. Like does the cell become highlighted as the ECU uses the cell? I'm pumped to try this out soon!

I guess I could add it.

lol, it's not. just kind of hard to start posting stuff when you don't actually own the car the forum is dedicated to. i do however look forward to hopefully talking him into it and playing with the software

Hey there guys, I know some of yall are new so its fine, I believe what you are referring to is called Map Tracing.  Idk if Jackal will ever have it or not, but I think that was something that was gonna be in werewolf when that comes out.  Yes its a cool feature and will be awesome once it does, but until then the old way of logging and checking the stuff on your spread sheet still works great.  And on top of that, now there is graphing with the logs so, hey, to each there own....

Map tracing would be good, but maybe it is harder to be implemented. Hopefully it will be. For now the graphical review of logs feature that Hak is talking about woild be also a pretty cool feature to have. I will order the new jackal as soon as I sort my logging issue.

Hak - a question to you. How do you see the payment for the software/upgrades in the future. I mean. If we purchase now the 1.0.5 what will happen when a future release is out. What about the Werewolf?

Jackal will be free updates, since it is mostly going to be bug fixes, if there is some die hard, absolute must have feature.. maybe a cheap fee for it.

There will be upgrade options from jackal to werewolf.

Yet ? It has never been my intention to extending them. WW is closer than you think honestly.  :shifty

the map tracing would be really nice IMHO too.  Especially for one person tuning.  And with a playback feature, or at least a freeze of what cells it went thru.

Jackal is an awesome tuning software and with a feature such as map tracing, it would make it even better when combined with the graph!! I'd be glad to pay for any added features!!

I totally concur Ibbanez...this method of tuning works great!  Especially when using the formula to make VE changes.  It has saved me many 'stops and goes' to get it right.  But the Map Tracing (thank-you for the correct term) I thought would be sweet to have when on long road trips and know where to make adjustments while cruisin'.  Lean it out for the best fuel milage.
But if that's a feature reserved for WW then I can wait....and if not, I can still wait haha.

When my car comes out of hibernation I'll be purchasing this newest version of Jackal...looking forward to checking out the added Graphics.
Sheesh..it just keeps getting better :)

Can you discuss the "keying" process a bit better?  I read through the entire thread.  I'm just curious how or what will be performed. Sorry a little slow tonight.   'O.o'

Is there any plan for extending the rpm range?
Also would it be possible to get a few more screen shots of the graphing logger?

Maybe someone could post a screen cap of it running. Emulate is just going to put lines on top of lines, I'm not looking to simulate a running car with it.  [8)

No I'm pretty much completely done with the eeprom for jackal as it stands.
