November 23rd changelog

Added:
  • A more betterest updater.**

**: The annoying notifier is the same. I really didn't feel like making an icon, new buttons.. etc with Thanksgiving tomorrow. Anyways, it is simple... click the download button, hit the update... application should restart.

More info here.

Firefox is netscape.

Opera is in its own little world cloud with its weirdo goodies. It was good till chrome came out.

If your still having problems with that read-only crap.. try this link http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/25436-folders-stuck-read-only-mode.html

Take ownership or something, seems weird that the folder is locked into read-only. You can see in the errors you sent me that there is 'Access is denied'.. so you really need to fix that.

I suspect the software hasn't even been able to create a jackal.properties file, am I right ?

You are correct that file is not there.
I will try that link and see what happenes next .

BTW Owner/Creator has no control over anything ( the box "full control" is unchecked) but admin has full control. But me as admin I am also Creator/Owner of this folder. You see what i'm trying to say here :) . Catch 22 ??

Also I can't take ownership of the folder cause I'm already owner. So that will not change. Damn it I'm already all gray , now all i can do is go bold from this point on LOL.

Okay, so I tried both links and got the .part file as well. For some reason the download doesn't seem to be sending the correct file extension. Hakcenter u might want to take a look at it.

I just changed the ".part" portion of the file to ".zip" and it worked as intended afterward.

It looks like it works with the .jar as well just change .part to .jar and then follow the instruction the file gives.

I'm pretty excited weeeee!

so you are saying that the file can't be downloaded with other browsers than your favourite?

you might want to post that somewhere prominently so as to avoid having to waste time in the future.

I don't make the forum software. The attachment system works with IE7 IE8 IE9 and Chrome. If there are issues with firefox not downloading properly, look at the browser there isn't anything I can do.

December 29th changelog

Added:
  • Serial port re-scanning.**

**: Re-scanning can be found under the File > Re-Scan Ports menu button. You cannot rescan while logging.. that should be obvious. However this will allow people to rescan for ports instead of having to re-open the application for simply attaching a new usb device.
