« on: January 27, 2011, 05:44:47 PM »
For anyone new to the site, tell us a little about yourself, your car, how you got into dsms, and how you found this site. We're like a big happy family over here and as such like to know a little more about new people joining. Welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your stay and find this project useful like I have.

Cool, I'll add the first intro.... Hey everyone, my name is Jerome and I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi...  I've currently been running Jackal for well over a year and have to say for a free piece of software that is an engine managment system, it really doesnt get any better than this...  I am 30 year old and have a little girl that is almost 2..  I run a bingo hall to finance my family and my DSM hobby.  Now I have only recently begun to get into DSM's conpared to others.  Ive had my DSM for about 2 years now.  My old setup was a built 2.0 block with built head and fp2 cams.  I have a fp3065 turbo mated to a DNP tubular manifold with a 44mm Tial wastegate.  I have am eboost 2 electronic boost controller, AEM methanol kit, short route FMIC and loads of other things.  Just in the last 2 months Ive dropped over 5k in suspension alone and I have been overhauling the whole car from the ground up.  Now I am getting my 2.3 built stroker motor tomorrow.  Again, there are tons of things that I have bought that I have listed because honestly there are way to many that I can't remember them all..  Again welcome home everybody and lets start this off right....
Built 2.3 and head, shep stage 4 tranny w/ welded center diff, 1000cc inj, fp3065, dnp mani,Magnus v5 Cast IM, meth kit, eboost 2 ebc, ksport pro coilovers, 5Zigen ZR+ 17x8, Hoosier Drag Radials, 10 pt roll cage, and loads and loads of suspension stuff

Hey guys, I guess I well start this off.  My names Jason currently serving in the navy down in virginia beach, va.  My first dsm was a 97 eclipse gst, which I wound up trading for a fox body mustang.  I soon found the error of my ways and traded the mustang for a 1g talon tsi, this was my first car running jackal till it had an un timely demise with a guard rail.  Which lead me to my current all wheel drive currently building it up to be a street strip car, trying to go by the only buy it once mythology.  Anyway thanks again.

Hi guys here's my intro once more. Like Airmail, I'm in the Navy. I own a 1991 Galant VR-4, known to some as the granddad of the EVO. It's my first Mitsubishi, and my first AWD car. After buying two cheap Daily Drivers that don't last (BMW 325e / Benz 300SD), I step up spend a lot more money for a fun car. I owned this car for about 3 months now and I wanted something better than my Super AFC, Keydiver Stage III chip, and MAFT, and Plam III Datalogger setup. In my search for a Better EMS, I found DSMaps. I learn a lot from the old DSMAPs forums, so I'm back. I currently got my car started on Jackal, but I'm having some wiring issues with my LC-1 Wideband, so no tuning as of yet, but soon.

So I am a tard and posted my intor in the wrong section...sorry :-[

Hello everyone.  My name is Ryan a.k.a. Kapok6 on the former ds-map site.  I like DSM's, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.  I have been into DSM's afor about 6yrs now.  First one I sold, second one was stolen, 3rd one was totaled back in Sept, now I am building my fourth.  I like 1G's in general but have a special place in my heart for the 1Ga's.  I was able to use Jackal for a short time last year before the car was totaled and I loved the program.  Thank you to Hak and the rest of the Dev Team's hard work on this project.  I look forward to this site growing and I am glad to see some former members back.

Hey there, I missed the intro thread.  My name is Dustin, I live in Ontario CA (California not Canada eh).  I've been playing around with DSM's since about 2002.  I'm not new to ds-map but since this is a new forum I figured I'd post something in the intro thread anyway.  I got into DSM's because I was fascinated with the design and the potential these little beasts have.  There really isn't any other car as unique [to me] as a DSM.  Been tuning my car with Jackal for over a year now and I've only had good results.  I currently have a 92 awd Talon running a hx35 holset in the BEP bolt on housing, delta hks 272 cams, crower springs/retainers (real ones not BC), wiseco 8.3:1 pistons, eagle rods, stock 1g intake manifold, 2.5" turbo back, punishment front mount, tial bov, tial external, 1650cc injectors, walbro 255 in tank, a bosch 044 pump inline and only run the car on E85.  It's done a best of 11.5@125mph with crap suspension and it's trapped a highest of 127mph.  I just broke my 3rd transmission about a month ago at the track lol.. damn used stockers  :o

I'm currently in the process of converting the car to automatic.  Going to install a shift kit, the upgraded end clutch kit, get slicks for all 4 corners, a nitrous kit and maybe restall the converter.  I'm also going to install my eibach pro kit and AGX shocks/struts.  Looking for mid 10's in the 1/4 by the end of 2011.. we'll see how it goes.

Hi, my name is John, I am a liscenced auto service tech(mechanic) and have had at least 1 DSM for about 8 years now.

I have my red 91 awd 5spd Talon, a non turbo awd 5spd twincam 4g63 Galant, and had another 91 Talon awd 5spd before as well.  I have also had a 92 Colt GT 5spd.

I have been running DSMap on my red Talon for about a year now, with good results.

The car has 2g pistons, stainless valves, BC springs and Ti retainers, ported 1g head, custom cams by Colt Cams, full 3" mandrel bent stainless exhaust, 4" aluminum intake piping, ETS fmic, Forge BPV, GT 3076 ball bearing turbo, FP exhaust manifold, Tial 38mm wastegate, Braille battery, 850cc injectors, Wally 255pump and a Buscher fuel pressure reg. I also run a 3 nozzle, single stage methanol/water setup with one nozzle pre turbo and 2 post turbo.  The car is tuned for 94 octane E0 fuel and 26psi right now.

It also has JIC Magic FLA-2 coilovers, fairly aggressive alignment and Hankook RS-3 tires.  Oh and big brakes up front.

The tranny is a mild rebuild with double syncros in the first 3 gears and a few other goodies, along with a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and a CFDF clutch.

The body is mostly straight but the paint is pretty rough on the hood and both bumper skins.

I really hope that DSMap can keep going and improving, its really a great piece of software and works well.

I like the VERY quick live upload feature and many other things about it.
