I just tried to log for the first time so I highlighted IAT and MAP. I then clicked poll, and watched the little spinning flower for a good 5min. I also tried it again and clicked log with no change.

If nothing showed up, maybe pins 2 and 3 are backwards on the logger ? What are you using ?

I would tee the FPR vacuum line for the map sensor.  I had an issue on a friend's car that I was tuning, where the line for the map sensor was attached to the throttle body.  It just happened one of the tiny vacuum holes pre-throttleplate.  After moving the map sensor post-throttlebody plate, the car ran wonderfully. No more hesitation, bucking, stumbling.     ...it's just a thought, give it a try.    8)

Well that was my issue. I had the map sensor on the "P" port of the t/b. I moved it to the bov line and there's no more bucking or anything! Thanks for that! I just read on here that the "P" port was recommended.

The process for logging is...
1)Click poll...and watch the thingy go round and round
2)Select the values you want logged (you can click on the numbers beside the name to graph them on the logging screen.
3)Click the Log button. (it will stay shaded until you want to stop logging)
4)When you're done logging, click the Log button again. A window will appear and prompt you to save the log.
...I typically roll around town with Poll always clicked.

I did this and I get no numerical movement from the sensors or graphing at all.

Screen shot: Pressing "log" does nothing to the graph and creates a 1kb excel file with a heading only naming which sensors are selected but no real data. I'm using a DSMLink V2 cable atm. Is this ok to use? I thought I read it was.

Car running ?

If so I'd check the wiring... TPS work ? Key on, polling TPS, press gas pedal ?

Car drives.
TPS was verified by myself with a voltmeter to sweep correctly and meets manufacturer voltage specs.
Key on, polling TPS and when I press the gas pedal I get no change on the comp screen, but the car responds correctly.

Sounds like it may be a cable issue.

What operating system, looks like windows to me ? If so /shrug ??

I was pretty sure there were a few guys using link cables..

I'll send an email to ecmlink and ask them if there is anything specific to using their cable for legacy logging.

Yes, windowsXP.

The owner works with electronics so he's making a cable on his lunch break on Monday. I "should" be logging on Tuesday.

Does this software have an warning features for when you don't have a laptop connected? One of my favorites is the blinking CE light when you exceed a certain KR. I looked around as much as I could and didn't see anything.
