LC-1 is pissing me off. (Error 1, Error 2)
« on: February 05, 2011, 10:27:45 AM »
So I installed the LC-1 and DB gauge in my car, turning on the car with only a few minutes of the car running to check to see if the LC-1 was working or not. 30 minutes later I start the car again, and I ended with Error 2 (Heater circuit open). After some reading on the Innovate's forum, I re-wire my all my grounds to a common ground point coming off the ECU's ground. I also tap a single switched 12v power, and use a distribution block with in-line fuses. I start the car and I still have Error 2, I bite the bullet and go new a new Bosch A/F sensor. After I got the new sensor, I did the Free air calibration and the Sensor heater calibration. I installed the new sensor into the car, and Error 2 is gone. I was happy as now I can now tune the car, or so I thought. A few days later and now I have Error 1 (Heater circuit shorted). In less that 1 week and a half, I have had nothing but problems with my LC-1. I also can't connect my PC to LC-1, I always get a pop-up window stating.

"Please connect the device to a serial port and switch it on"

Mind you the car key is turned to ACC. I'm losing my mind.
