Does anybody know the precise differences between the auto and 5spd motor mounts, and if the auto motor mounts push the engine closer to the frame than on a 5spd?

im not exactly sure the diff.. but I do know they are diff.. as far as the front and rear..  I just bought mine and should receive them next week and I can do a side by side comparison for you then.. I know from researching  that the incorrect mounts will angle the engine differently so the cv axles wear out faster. ( IE: 5 spd mounts on a auto setup).

Let me know what you find out.  The reason I ask is because I got a Jay Racing Alt relocation kit and i can NOT get the alternator over far enough to line the pulley up.  The pulley hits the frame well before it is over far enough to line up.  The spacers and everything in his kit all appear as if they would work, if I could physically move the alternator further over.  I think the problem lies with my car but I am not sure exactly where...

i will look in the files at home but i have pictures of the differences from auto to 5speed to awd to fwd cause i had issues with my awd and fwd so i took pictures an measurements.

I know the front motor mount is different. I used 5 spd ones in my car, had to change the inserts over on the front and the trans. the others all fit normally.

yea only one that is different that actually bolts to the motor is the front one from what i remember! An like hak said i dont like discover to many fees!

awd 5 speed frt. #347 awd rear #195

awd auto  frt  #506 awd auto rear #793..

the mounts that bolt to the sub-frame are supposedly diff also as they have diff part numbers between auto and 5 speed...

and Kapok6.. tracking number shows they will arrive this thursday.. so I will try to get some pics of them all side by side and post em up by the weekend.

got the mounts today.. as u can see the auto ones that mount to the subframe are larger than the 5 speed ones.. I didnt take any pics of the ones that bolt to the block because they almost look the same with exception of the angles when bolted to the block...and the hole for the bolt that holds it to the subframe mount is about 1/4" off.. but its mainly the angles that are different.. i did alot of research over the past 6 months and they did this because the auto is much larger than the 5 speed trans..and this caused the axle angles to change so it needed specific mounts for the auto trans..
