Check out this nutty new designed inlet. Builders are claiming a 200HP increase in their 2000HP engine with the use of this inlet on their supercharger. They are spinning the air in the inlet the opposite direction the blower compressor is turning. This allows the blades to take larger "bites" of air. If the inlet directed the air in the same direction of flow this would help to reduce surge.

Seems alot like the rifled intake piping I was suggesting a while back using this cheap 3" PVC piping.

Not that I think the same results would apply to our tiny turbos, but I'm sure some gains could be had.

that bit about the blades taking larger "bites" of air makes sense to me!! The pre compressor spin on the air would allow it to stuff more into each blade section. Kind of pre compressing it.
Oh boy, I can see some crazy contraptions coming out soon.
Lets try to not kill to many turbos hehehe

Honestly, I don't think the rifling is doing anything, but the curvature is. Now the turbo can eat air more than 360*degrees if you include all dimensions.

I also like the "nose cone" on the center nut. I bet that helps over just a bare hex nut.
